We are converts from a strong Islamic lineage, of which we still face persecution from our relatives and communities for years now. I Modu lost my first wife and children as a result of this persecution. I got married again to Fatou. Fatou was also once a muslim. Both of us have being serving as Missionaries amongst the Muslim communities. We have seen testimonies of God salvation but yet we are still persecuted.
This Soul Care Retreat organized by Reflecting His Beauty Ministries has blessed us so much. We received such great encouragement, strength from God, rest, fellowship and prayers with other fellow missionaries. We were amazed at the care provided during these days – surely our God remembers us.
The Spiritual Director Pastor Tanimu and his wife understood greatly our sufferings for they too have faced such persecution and received comfort from the Lord. God used them to bring comfort and love. This has encouraged us greatly to keep our love relationship with God stronger and to keep fulfilling our God given purpose.
This Soul Care Retreat reminds us of how God gave Israel rest after many wars.
